One of the fundamental concepts in the Damanhurian philosophy of the ancient history of humans is that of the Temporal Empire.
When we talk about our hidden history, about the roots of the great tree of humanity, the Damanhurians love to refer above all to Atlantis, the lost continent sunk into the Atlantic Ocean about twenty thousand years ago, according to the story of Falco Tarassaco.
Of course, Atlantis is not the only disappeared civilization which history does not take into account. Names like Lemuria (or Mu), civilization of the Far East, or Hyperborea at the gates of the Arctic, or Agarthi in the subsoil of Central Asia (the famous “Terra cava”) are known among all lovers of mysteries and have given life to literary sagas that develop the legends and rumours that have always circulated around them.
Today we do not know if these civilizations really existed, if they are simply narrative myths or if one day the signs of their existence will finally be discovered. Of course, Falco teaches, wondering how these glorious civilizations could develop and above all, disappear into thin air, is an important meditation on our origins that can lead to significant reflections.
Temporals empires
The theme of temporal empires is directly linked to these conversations. We are used to considering the term “empire” as the conquest of territories, gradually widening their boundaries.
When we talk about temporal empires, we have to change logic. First of all, the idea of an empire is not that of widening its borders, always conquering new territories, but that of controlling various points of time. Imagine that a civilization, such as Atlantis for example, develops a revolutionary technology. A technology that allows you to move in time and control it. Today’s quantum physics affirms it with certainty: time is a territory within which it is possible to travel; the problem is that we have not yet understood how! Let’s instead imagine that the Atlantean researchers understood it very well. They started missions of exploration of the past and of the future. And these missions, once verified the conditions present in the past and in the future, are transformed into missions of the conquest of “parts of time“. In this way, eliminating enemies in the past makes Atlantis stronger in its present, while building colonies in the future certainly makes its development favorable. Not only that, but knowing the epochs of earthquakes, volcanic eruptions and tsunamis, may suggest in what era of time to be present and when to stay away.
Signs that reappear
Charming, don’t you think? Here, in the idea of ancient history of humankind, Falco advised to consider Atlantis and other civilizations not so much as physical empires, measurable on the basis of owned square miles, but as temporal empires, able to exist simultaneously in different points of time and to keep their power because of it. Here is the point: Atlantis (and Lemuria and Hyperborea and Agarthi and who knows what other civilization that we do not yet know about) may have planned not to exist in this era, say in the last 3-4000 years because it is not so hospitable or even uninteresting to them, and then perhaps eventually reappear in the future. And so their signs will be evident, and not just legendary!
A science fiction meditation
All of this is science fiction, of course. Falco himself said to reflect on these things taking them seriously, but also leaving space for doubt. The concept of a temporal empire however, allows us to explain many mysteries, including those of civilizations that suddenly appeared and then inexplicably disappeared, for example, according to some historians, the Etruscans.
Nature is a treasure chest full of secrets, which zoologists, botanists and geologists explore relentlessly. Even history is a book that is still largely unknown: our ancient ancestors wrote it with alphabets and codes that we do not yet understand.
But the story belongs to everyone, and we can all ask ourselves through a course or through a personal reflection: to which of the great, ancient human families do I belong? In which periods of history, known or not, did I live?
