Veetao Hogan and Rentao Ravasio are our guests in this episode. They are an inspiring couple living and teaching Universal Healing Tao, a practice rooted in the ancient healing tradition of Taoism. Taoism, also known as Daoism, is a set of philosophical and mystical doctrines often associated with the Daode jing (Tao Te Ching), a Chinese text purportedly written by Laozi (Lao Tzu) sometime in the 3rd or 4th centuries B.C. In the 1st century A.D. Taoism was formalized as a religion.
The Universal Healing Tao was created by Master Mantak Chia, one of the leading living teachers of Taoism and a great Qigong Master. He is often listed as one of the mosti influential spiritual leaders in the world. Deeply touched and transformed by Mantak Chia’s teachings, Rentao helped structure them in a way that could be understood and applied also in the Western world. The Universal Healing Tao now counts thousands of students all over the world. It is the most renowned school for these ancient techniques that teach us to feel, guide and direct our sexual energy for spiritual growth and healing.
Veetao, after working as a journalist for 15 years in Switzerland and London, decided to change her life and moved to Thailand, where she lived for five years. At that time, she suffered from excruciating stomach pain. In her search for relief, she discovered the Tao. She went to study with Mantak Chia in his Tao Garden center and, with dedication and discipline not only did she heal herself, but she became a Chi Nei Tsang Teacher. Together with Rentao she runs the Universal Healing Tao Switzerland, offering seminars and retreats. Rentao and Veetao also teach internationally.
In this profound conversation, they share their story and talk about the importance of the conscious use of our sexual energy. It is the most powerful energy flow in our body, and it is important to be centered so that we can use it in a creative way, and we do not let it overwhelm and drain us. “At this stage of consciousness there is still a lot of confusion, frustration, taboos, and other things that are glued to this energy.”
