A brief history of Damanhur

Born in 1975 in the foothills of the Alps in Piedmont, Italy, Damanhur is a Federation of Communities founded by Falco Tarassaco (Oberto Airaudi). Mostly know for building the Temples of Humankind, an underground Temple that promotes, and acts as an antenna for, the awakening of humanity.

Today, Damanhur is a worldwide movement that positively impacts the lives of thousands of people who strongly believe in the divine origin of humankind and are committed to transforming themselves and society for the better.

All aspects of the Damanhurian experience—from shared everyday life to its path of sacred wisdom and initiation—are aimed at the awakening of individual and collective awareness, in order to actively support human spiritual evolution.

Damanhur is open for visits, both for short periods as well as for longer stays such as community life experiences. It is also open to welcome new members.

In Damanhur, all wisdom paths were examined and integrated, masculine and feminine energies balanced, heaven and heart corresponded, and spiritual renewal occurred through possession by a holy and inexhaustible creativity.

I like that Damanhurians continue to be big dreams, that even though you've made big dreams here, there are more big dreams. I like that you are connected to other places in the world. I think that the revolution that I want requires many great models, to spark interest, and Damanhur is certainly one that I will add to my list of great models.

Damanhur for me is laboratory for the future of humanity. Future won’t be the same as the past, so we must change ourselves to create a sustainable future. Damanhur enacts experimentation for a shared future for all of humanity, a sustainable future with solidarity and peace. This is what we must find, and I believe that Damanhur brings an extremely important contribution.

The important thing is to really know and celebrate the fact that you are creating and living within a precious alchemical gift. In all the years of my life I have seen a great deal of human life and what is happening in Damanhur is exceptional, unique and very important for the future of humanity.
