We have just finished the EDE course here in Damanhur! Four weeks of very intense training involving 21 people from 10 different countries.
At the end of each EDE course, after learning many techniques, gaining fundamental tools and knowledge to develop their own projects, participants often realize that being immersed for one month in a community like Damanhur has offered them useful elements to complete their own vision.

Living in close contact with each other stimulates important and enriching dynamics. All groups go through various phases, with conflicts that arise and are then resolved, and each person finishes this experience profoundly transformed by the connections and mutual exchange.
Next year in 2018, the EDE course will be held in August again. You can come and participate too!

Six years of deeply inspiring EDEs

This year in August we will be holding the seventh edition of the Ecovillage Design Education (EDE) course in Damanhur, certified by Gaia Education.
The EDE is a curriculum that covers four areas of sustainability: social, ecology, economy and world view, offering a wide spectrum of practical applications and innovative tools that have been developed and tested in ecovillages, communities, and transition movements in urban areas around the world.The group becomes like a kind of being in and of itself who lives and is nurtured by the individuals. This is why the whole group is so strongly influenced by the relationships that are created among the people.
